Moxie People, Newydd Housing, United Welsh, CCHA, Platfform and Bluegg have come together to create a new initiative: Working Wardrobe.

The project will donate interview clothing to people looking for work in our communities in South Wales.

This helping hand will give individuals the confidence and self-belief to take that all-important first step towards a new, meaningful career. Because when you're dressed for success, you feel like you can take on the world.

How it'll work 
Housing association tenants and individuals engaged with local support services will be able to select, create and keep a 'work suitable' outfit from their local store for free. Clothing will be accessible across four key hubs:  
Cardiff 
Rhondda Cynon Taff 
Caerphilly 
Vale of Glamorgan

Why is this needed? 
228,000 people employed in sectors affected by Covid-19 in Wales

700,000 people living financially precarious lives in Wales. That's 1/4 of the population.

14.4% unemployed 16-24 year-olds in Wales. The highest rise in the UK in 2020.

The hidden cost of clothing 
The price of a suitable, quality interview attire can quickly creep up on you: 
£65 – Suit 
£40 – Dress 
£15+ - Hijab 
£50 – Shoes 
£50 – Trousers 
£30 – Shirt
